For pointed gables and angled windows, we can also produce DeVo Aluminium entirely to measure. The louvres and frame are technically adapted to the angle of the window.
Colour options always depend on the chosen collection: Signature, Hydro and Sandblasted are available in all RAL K5 Classic colours at no extra charge; Oak remains natural, while Aluminium has its own colour range.

The panel layout, louvre direction and controls are selected to keep the window’s architecture visible. This means the shutters are not an added element, but an integral part of the interior.

A distinctive shape requires a technical solution, but it should remain just as convenient to use every day as a standard shutter.
With a pointed gable or angled top, not all louvres can move in the same way. We therefore divide the surface into logical sections. Where possible, intermediate rails and panel joints align with the window frame, keeping the window visually calm and ensuring every operable section remains accessible.
For tall windows, we assess whether the upper and lower louvre sections should be controlled separately. This keeps operation accessible without interrupting the window’s strong lines.
The chosen collection depends on the room, the desired wood grain, moisture exposure and finish. A light RAL colour often accentuates the architecture of a round or angled window. Natural oak or Sandblasted can add warmth. For outdoor or moisture-sensitive applications, we assess Aluminium or Hydro for each project.
The louvre size is matched to the scale of the opening. Larger louvres create fewer horizontal lines and often provide a wider view; a smaller size creates a finer rhythm.
The fixing method is adapted to the frame, wall, ceiling or additional profiles. After installation, we check the panel joints, hinges and louvre movement. Special shapes are also covered by a five-year warranty when used and maintained according to our advice.
After the free measuring service, you receive a technical specification covering the window shape, moving parts, colour, controls, price, applicable VAT and expected schedule. This ensures that every choice can be checked before production.
For a round, angled, pointed or curved window, the complete geometry is measured. Only then do we determine the panel layout, louvre direction, hinge points and controls.
For round and oval windows, several points along the curve are recorded. For an arched window, we measure where the arch begins and the height of the curved section. The shutter follows the true shape, keeping the window recognisable rather than hiding it behind a rectangular infill panel.
Depending on the diameter and construction, a panel may open fully, consist of several sections or be partly fixed. The solution is always adapted to accessibility and everyday use.
For a pointed window, the lines are developed downwards from the apex. Where possible, panel joints are aligned with the window frame. With tall windows, stability, hinge load and access to the louvres are important. An intermediate rail can allow the upper and lower sections to be controlled separately.
For tilt-and-turn and angled windows, we also take window handles, ventilation settings and the space required for the panels to open into account.
Special shapes incur a surcharge of €130 per m² on top of the chosen collection. The final price is calculated per window, with a minimum of 1 m² per individual opening. Colour, material, controls, tracks and additional profiles may affect the price further.
The free measuring service is therefore essential. Afterwards, you receive a clear drawing and quote covering the window shape, panel layout, controls, installation, VAT, expected lead time and five-year warranty. This means you know exactly which parts move and how the shutter will be fixed before production.
Shutters for special shapes
With a distinctive window shape, the shutter should follow the architecture rather than conceal it. That is why we measure not only width and height, but also the arch, angle, apex, window-frame layout and the space required for the panels to open. This keeps light control, privacy and everyday use integral to the design.
For a round or oval window, the curve is recorded at several points. The panel layout follows the true geometry, keeping the window recognisable as a shape.
Round windows →For a triangular window or gable end, the panel lines are aligned with the frame divisions wherever possible. Stability and accessibility determine how many zones are needed.
View pointed windows →For a sloping window, we take the angle, window handle, hinge points and clear opening into account. The louvre zones are tailored to ensure they remain technically operable.
Sloping windows →An arched window requires precise measurements of the straight sides, the springing points and the highest point. The made-to-measure shutter then follows the curved top edge.
