1. Applicability and quotation

These terms and conditions apply to every quotation and agreement between DeVo Shutters and the customer. A price indication provided via the website is non-binding. An agreement is only concluded once the final made-to-measure quotation has been accepted in writing.

2. Measuring and made-to-measure production

Shutters are made to measure based on the final measurements and specifications recorded during the site survey. The customer must ensure that windows, walls and connection points are accessible and inform us in advance of any details that could affect installation.

3. Prices and VAT

Consumer prices are shown inclusive of the applicable VAT rate. The standard rate is 21%. A rate of 6% is only applied where the statutory conditions for renovation works have demonstrably been met. If it subsequently transpires that the 6% rate may not be applied, the difference will be charged.

4. Payment

The payment schedule and payment terms are set out in the quotation or order confirmation. In the event of late payment, the applicable interest and reasonable debt-collection costs may be charged following any legally required notice of default.

5. Delivery and installation

Quoted delivery times are indicative. The average lead time is 11 to 16 weeks after the final order, unless otherwise agreed. Installation takes place by appointment. Minor variations in colour and texture that are inherent to wood and other natural materials do not constitute a defect.

6. Changes and cancellation

As these are made-to-measure products, changes or cancellations after the final order may incur costs. For products manufactured to the customer’s specifications, the statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded. This will be clearly communicated before the order is placed.

7. Warranty and complaints

DeVo Shutters provides a 5-year warranty in accordance with the warranty terms set out in the quotation. Please report visible damage or an incorrect delivery as soon as possible, preferably with photographs. Consumers’ statutory rights remain fully unaffected.

8. Liability

DeVo Shutters is liable for direct damage resulting from an attributable failure to perform, within the limits of mandatory law. The customer remains responsible for providing accurate information about the structural situation and for obtaining any necessary permission from the landlord, co-owners or authorities.

9. Contact and disputes

Questions or complaints can be sent to info@devo-shutters.be. The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute through mutual consultation. Mandatory consumer rules concerning jurisdiction and applicable law remain in force.
