Privacy and Cookie Policy
Here you can read which personal data and browser storage DeVo Shutters uses and why.
1. Data controller
DeVinci Beheer B.V., trading as DeVo Shutters, is responsible for processing personal data via this website. Chamber of Commerce number: 64615650. Belgian VAT number: BE 0672.488.231. Showroom: Steenweg op Turnhout 86, 2360 Oud-Turnhout, Belgium. Head office: Zandstraat 32, 5258 TW Middelrode, the Netherlands. For privacy enquiries, please contact us via info@devo-shutters.be.
2. What data do we process?
We may process your name, address, town or city, telephone number, email address, window and project details, messages, quotation details, technical website data and information about your communications with us.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use data to respond to enquiries, schedule advice and measuring appointments, fulfil quotations and agreements, provide customer service, maintain legally required records, prevent misuse and — only after a valid choice where consent is required — improve the website, advertising and conversion measurement. Depending on the purpose, processing is based on the performance of a contract, a legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent.
4. Recipients and processors
Data may be processed by suppliers who support us with hosting, email, CRM, planning, analytics, advertising, accounting and installation. They are given access only where necessary and are contractually bound where required.
5. Retention periods
We do not retain data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for legally required record-keeping, evidential and warranty periods. Incomplete enquiries are periodically deleted or anonymised.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Without consent, the website uses only necessary storage. The cookie devo_cookie_consent remembers your category preference, policy version and the time of your change. This first-party cookie contains no name, email address or advertising profile and is retained for 180 days by default.
After consent to statistics or marketing, a form may temporarily be used sessionStorage to correctly complete a conversion event on the thank-you page. Without this consent, nothing is stored for this purpose. Non-personal enquiry characteristics are retained only for measurement; your name, email address, telephone number and address are added temporarily only when marketing consent has been given. The data is deleted after processing and disappears at the latest when the tab is closed.
Statistics
After consent to statistics, Google Tag Manager may load statistical tags, such as Google Analytics. Depending on the published GTM configuration, cookies such as _ga, _ga_*, _gid or similar measurement storage may be used.
Marketing
After consent to marketing, Google Tag Manager may load tags for advertising and conversion measurement, such as Google Ads. Cookies or identifiers such as _gcl_* may be used. Google Consent Mode v2 receives the status “denied” by default for ad storage, ad use and ad personalisation until you allow marketing.
External media
Google Maps and any videos from YouTube or Vimeo remain blocked until you allow external media. Once activated, these providers may process your IP address, device data and their own cookies in accordance with their policies.
AI Shutter Visualisator
When you use the AI Shutter Visualisator, the window photo you upload is processed solely to create the requested visualisation. The photo is not stored in the WordPress media library. To generate the result, the photo may be temporarily shared with the activated AI service. We therefore recommend uploading only the window and interior needed for the visualisation, without any unnecessary sensitive personal data. The visualisation is an indication of the appearance and not a technical drawing with dimensions.
Automatic language selection
When you deliberately click FR or EN in the header, the URL of the open page is sent to Google Translate to open an automatic French or English version. The translation is provided outside the DeVo website; Google may process your IP address and technical device data in accordance with its own privacy policy. The Dutch button remains entirely on the original DeVo website.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via in the footer. The website remains usable if you reject all optional categories.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. Send your request to info@devo-shutters.be. We may request additional information to verify your identity.
8. Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority if you believe that your personal data is not being processed correctly.
9. Security and changes
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. This policy may be updated when our services, suppliers or regulations change. In the event of a material change, we will ask you to make your cookie choices again.
