Oak has a richer, more distinctive appearance than Basswood or Pinewood. It is chosen for its authentic oak character, rather than a completely uniform colour.
The grain, figuring and colour nuances vary from one component to the next, giving the product its character.
Natural oak works beautifully with understated luxury, Japandi, modern country style and interiors featuring natural stone or steel.
The solid wood and visible structure remain the focal point of the finish.
When you deliberately choose visible wood grain, natural colour variation and a high-quality, warm material finish.
Oak is not the best choice if you expect a completely uniform white or black finish, or if the shutters will be installed in a permanently humid room. In that case, choose Signature or Hydro.
DeVo Oak is deliberately kept natural. The grain, medullary rays and colour variations of the oak therefore form the defining part of its appearance.
Oak is a natural product. Light and dark areas, grain patterns and small colour variations are normal and desirable. The shutters are not given an opaque lacquer, oil finish or RAL colour. This creates a warm, architectural look that pairs beautifully with natural stone, linen, wool, concrete, black steel and other visible wood species.
Because the material itself is so prominent, we always consider colour and light alongside the flooring, window frames and furniture. In a light interior, oak adds warmth; in a darker interior, it can create a natural contrast.
DeVo Oak is available with 47, 63, 76 and 89 mm louvres. Wider louvres allow the grain to flow calmly across the surface and provide a generous view through. Smaller louvres create a more refined division. As a technical guideline, panels can be up to approximately 900 mm wide and 3300 mm high. The final dimensions depend on the window shape, hinge load and configuration.
Standard operation, ClearView and Ultra ClearView are assessed for each project. With tall windows, a mid-rail can be useful for operating the upper and lower sections separately and aligning the panel proportions with the window frame.
Regularly dust natural oak with a dry cloth. For stains, use a nearly dry soft cloth and dry the surface immediately afterwards. Avoid oil, polish, steam, abrasive products and aggressive cleaners, as these may cause localised discolouration. For permanently humid rooms, we recommend Hydro.
The online starting price is €525 per m², including free measuring appointment, installation and VAT. A minimum of 1 m² is charged per individual window. Additional options and unusual shapes are itemised separately in the quotation. After measuring, we clearly confirm the wood selection, louvre size, panel configuration, operation, schedule and five-year warranty.
Remove dust with a dry soft cloth or feather duster. Minimise moisture and do not use furniture oil, aggressive cleaners or universal polish without prior advice, as these can alter the colour and appearance.
Technical dimensions are always checked and confirmed during the free measuring appointment.
Oak has natural variations in grain, figuring and colour. This is an inherent property of the material and an essential part of the chosen aesthetic.
