Personal made-to-measure advice
Choosing the right RAL colour for your shutters?
During showroom or home consultations, we compare colours alongside your interior and window frames.
Colour is a key part of shutter design. With DeVo Signature, Hydro and Sandblasted, your preferred RAL shade does not have to incur an extra charge: every colour from the RAL K5 Classic colour chart is available at no extra charge within these collections.
Signature: all RAL K5 Classic colours at no extra charge
The wooden Signature collection can be matched to your window frames or walls, or used to create a contrasting interior shade. The selected RAL code is recorded exactly in the quote.
Hydro: the same freedom of colour for humid rooms
DeVo Hydro is also available in all RAL K5 Classic colours at no extra charge. This means a moisture-resistant version can visually complement wooden shutters in other rooms.
Sandblasted: colour on a tactile wood grain
With Sandblasted, the wood grain remains part of the overall look. The RAL colour is combined with this tactile grain and may therefore appear different from the same colour on a smoother collection.
Oak and Aluminium are exceptions
DeVo Oak is centred on natural oak and is not covered by the RAL K5 scheme. DeVo Aluminium also has its own colour programme and is not included in the offer covering all RAL K5 Classic colours at no extra charge.
Always view the colour beside the actual window
Daylight, window profile, flooring, walls and material sheen alter how a colour is perceived. That is why we preferably assess the colour with the physical RAL chart in the actual room.

Frequently asked questions
Which DeVo shutters are available in all RAL K5 Classic colours at no extra charge?
DeVo Signature, DeVo Hydro and DeVo Sandblasted are available in every colour from the RAL K5 Classic colour chart at no extra charge.
Does the no-extra-charge RAL K5 Classic offer also apply to Oak and Aluminium?
No. DeVo Oak and DeVo Aluminium are not included in this offer. Oak follows the natural oak material character, while Aluminium has its own colour programme.
Why should I view a RAL colour in person?
Daylight, artificial light, window profile, sheen and the shutter material affect how a RAL colour is perceived in the room.
How can I assess this choice in my own interior?
View samples in daylight alongside the window frame, wall, floor and fixed furniture. A colour or proportion may look different on a small screen than across an entire window.
Is the same solution suitable for every window or room?
No. RAL colours, contrast, tone-on-tone combinations and interior style. Window type, dimensions, installation position, material load and everyday use are assessed for each situation.
What does DeVo check during the professional site survey?
We take measurements at multiple points and check the frame, reveal, handles, opening direction, windowsill, available panel clearance, and the desired louvre and panel configuration, among other details.
How do louvre size and panel configuration affect the result?
They determine how many lines you see, how open the view through is and how practically the panels can open. The proportions in relation to the window matter more than one standard size.
