Moisture-resistant material for a wet room
In a bathroom, condensation, ventilation and cleaning play a greater role than in a living room. DeVo Hydro was chosen as a moisture-resistant shutter with a stable core. The distance from the bath and available ventilation were assessed during the measuring appointment.
Privacy without closing off the window
The adjustable louvres can limit direct views while allowing daylight in. This is more practical for a bathroom window than a solution that can only be fully open or fully closed.
The arch remains part of the architecture
The top panels follow the curved shape. The vertical lines of the straight section continue into the arch, allowing the window to read as one cohesive whole. The shape was accurately drawn out before production.
RAL 9016 and 89 mm louvres
The white complements the bath, walls and ceiling and reflects the available daylight. The 89 mm louvres keep the window looking calm and provide sufficient visibility when privacy is less important.
Installation and accessibility
The frame, hinges and operating mechanism are positioned so that the window and connections remain accessible for ventilation and cleaning. After installation, the panels and louvres were adjusted for even closing.
Everyday use in a humid room
Following installation in Arendonk, the closing action, louvre position and accessibility around the bath or window are checked. Good ventilation remains important. The shutters can be dusted regularly and, where necessary, cleaned with a lightly damp cloth, without aggressive cleaning products.
